TCS Recognised at Macao SAR 25th Anniversary Symposium
The ESCAP/WMO Typhoon Committee Secretariat (TCS) received prominent recognition at the "New Achievements, New Opportunities, New Actions: Symposium on External Legal Affairs of the Macao SAR," organised by the Macao SAR Government to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Macao’s return to the Motherland.
The Senior Secretary of the Typhoon Committee Secretariat, Ms Denise Lau, attended the conference on behalf of the Secretariat and delivered an impactful speech titled "Strengthening Resilience: The ESCAP/WMO Typhoon Committee Secretariat and its Collaboration with the Macao SAR Government."
At the symposium, high level officials emphasized the ESCAP/WMO Typhoon Committee Secretariat as an exemplary case of international collaboration. This recognition underscored the essential role of TCS in cultivating regional cooperation and enhancing disaster risk reduction and management efforts throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
